2021 North Carolina Science olympiad

North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO) is the largest K-12 STEM competition in North Carolina and the largest Science Olympiad in the country. Every year NCSO hosts tournaments in universities, community colleges, and public school campuses across the state.

The North Carolina Science Olympiad is growing in Division A elementary tournaments! Elementary Science Olympiad program, comes in the form of a competitive tournament, a hands-on science Fun Day or an expert-filled Science Olympiad Fun Night. Events align with the NC Standard Course of Study and what teachers are already doing in the classroom. Students compete to win olympic-style medals with the top teams advancing from County to Regional to State to National levels. Students will start preparing in the fall and meet once a week for an hour until the competition in spring. Learn more about prior years here.

If you would like your child to start a team and participate in that tournament, please fill out this form before October 30th!
