2019 Reflections - "Look Within"

National PTA’s Reflections art program helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The theme for 2019 is Look Within. SWES Students may choose to create works of to submit for Reflections 2019 in the following categories: 

• Art
• Literature
• Photography

Discuss what the theme "Look Within" means to your student with them and help generate ideas to

interpret that through either literature (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, etc.), visual arts (paint, clay,

collage, 3D, etc.), or photography.

If your student would like to enter, complete the registration form below. We will send you more information on the rules and guidelines for naming the art, etc after we receive the form. 

We hope students will participate because it is fun and a great learning experience.  But it is also a competition. Student winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, council and state PTA programs to the national level. National Reflections winners are announced in May and celebrated annually at National PTA's Convention & Expo in June. National PTA then collects and curates the traveling exhibit for the next year.
